J&E: Sensory, Sign Language & Music

Join us for our sensory play and music classes where little ones are encouraged to explore using all of their senses. We will begin with a cheerful hello song to excite their sense of hearing, followed by music, story time, animal sounds, and baby-safe instruments to encourage listening skills, language development, and speech. High-contrast objects, puppets, brightly colored pictures, bubbles, and interactive games like peek-a-boo will spark their sense of vision and curiosity. Each class is taught by a professional singer proficient in American Sign Language (ASL), and you’ll learn new signs and phrases each week—such as “more,” “all done,” “how are you?” and “milk”—to help you communicate with your child at home.

Every session also includes a chance to play in a themed sensory bin (beans, balls, water, paper, etc.), so we recommend bringing a change of clothes in case your child chooses water play. We’ll finish class with activities that engage movement and coordination through free play, including balls for crawling, walking, grasping, and rolling/throwing. To end on a high note, we’ll gather for parachute time, where little ones can crawl under to feel the wind, watch the bright colors float, and enjoy the ultimate sensory adventure.
